This excellent fish bar in Ballingry, Fife, has been sold by Bruce & Co.

Opened in 1996 by vendors Mr & Mrs Snedden, Barry’s Fish Bar promptly established itself as a staple amongst its local community. Renowned for offering high quality fish and chips, pizzas, calzones and kebabs with a warm and friendly service, the fish bar quickly became revered by its loyal customer base.

Located in a deeply residential area in the town of Ballingry, Barry’s Fish Bar occupies a prominent position on a main road. Flanked on all sides by residential properties, the shop benefits from an extensive amount of local footfall, in addition to attracting custom from the wider area.

Housed in a terraced lock-up unit with a full glass frontage, customers are immediately welcomed by the service counter which wraps arounds the rear and left of the entrance. Contained within the unit is a large fryer range, pizza oven and kebab rotisserie, with a food preparation area, storage room and staff facilities located to the rear of the property. Included within the sale is the empty unit next door that had previously operated as a café.

Seeking retirement, Mr & Mrs Snedden placed their business on the market with the leading Scottish licence and leisure brokerage, Bruce & Co. After 3 viewings and 2 offers, the business ultimately sold to a local operator.
