Hatton Market sold to an existing business owner

A well-established shop and post office in Aberdeenshire has been sold to an existing business owner, advised by Bruce & Co.

Hatton Market has traded from its purpose-built premises for several years and enjoys regular custom due to its location.

The sale of Hatton Market offered a rare opportunity to purchase a high-quality, profitable business in Scotland.

The business benefits from little competition in the local area of Hatton and has established an excellent reputation with the local community.

The seller has successfully ran the shop for many years. They brought the business to the market as they wish to retire and instructed Bruce & Co in the sale.

Our marketing campaign successfully generated a significant amount of interest in the business, with 19 viewings and 16 offers.

Hatton Market was sold to an existing business owner as their first purchase in Scotland, who was attracted to the business due to the location and the outstanding performance of the shop.

The buyer, who is based in the North West, has been running retail businesses for 15 years and plans to grow the business.

Upon completion of the sale, the seller said: “Thank you to our Bruce & Co team for accompanying us on this journey and for seeing our deal through to completion”.

Sales Negotiator Lauren Lees said: “We were able to market the business effectively and saw a high amount of interest with several offers being made. I wish the new owner and the seller the best of luck”.
