First ever Indian pub to open in Scotland

Bruce & Co recently advised the sale of the Irish Rover Bar, located in Glasgow. The business was sold to a corporate operator who owns a chain of restaurants and after also running a pub previously, is looking to open the first-ever Indian pub in Scotland.

The Irish Rover Bar is a great opportunity to realise this dream being a well-established city centre licenced premises that benefit from an excellent location.

The busy, Irish Rover Bar has been owned by the current proprietor since 2014. Our client when asked how they would describe the level of service offered by Bruce & Co stated: “Very good, they kept me updated and chased anything which was outstanding.”

The buyer, excited about their new prospect was attracted to the business in the main due to its location. They described their experience with Bruce & Co as: “Very good, very patient due to how long it took. Would like us to keep an eye out on other businesses within Glasgow as once up and running and would like to purchase a few more bars.”

Experienced Sales Negotiator Sophie Wane stated: “Really pleased to have found a buyer for the seller. The new buyer’s business plan sounds very exciting, and I wish both the seller and new owner all the best.”
