Peppo’s Harbour Chip Bar sold to First-time Buyer

Peppo’s Harbour Chip Bar located in Arbroath was sold to a first-time buyer in a deal facilitated by Bruce & Co.

When two brothers put their 70-year-old family business up for sale due to retirement, they hoped that the buyer would have the passion and drive to ensure the fish and chip shop continued serving the local community and tourists.

Operating in a prime location with views over the sea, first-time buyer, Garry Smith remembers tiptoeing over the counter to look at the menu as a child. Garry has set his goal to build the business up, making the traditional fish and chip shop more modern and simply picking up where the previous owners left off.
