Drumlithie Hotel, a busy tavern in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire has been sold by Bruce & Co.
8th September 2020
Operated by the vendors since 2004 and open 7 days a week, The Drumlithie Hotel offers its regular group of loyal patrons an excellent location to relax and socialise. Currently only offering wet sales but with the potential to introduce food and letting rooms, the tavern represented an excellent acquisition for an aspiring owner in the licenced industry.
Occupying a highly visible trading position in the namesake village of Drumlithie, The Drumlithie Hotel is surrounded by residential properties and benefits from year-round custom from the local residents, as well as trade from the surrounding areas.
Providing a cosy atmosphere for its customers is the lounge bar, fully equipped with enough upholstered benches and wooden seating to accommodate upwards of 50 people. Further lies a snug bar area, plentiful additional seating and a dart board, as well as toilet facilities. On the opposite end of the property is the function suite, providing the perfect space for parties and weddings as a result of possessing its own bar and dance floor.
Across the first and second floors are 6 double bedrooms, a family bathroom and a shower which are currently utilised as accommodation for the owners but have the potential to be converted into letting rooms.
Having made the difficult decision to sell The Drumlithie Hotel, the vendor instructed Bruce & Co to facilitate the sale, understanding us to be the leading broker in the Scottish licence and leisure industry. After a comprehensive marketing campaign, the tavern was sold to a first-time buyer.
Lead Negotiator Sophie Jakeman commented:
“I was pleased with the conclusion of this sale that faced delays due to Covid, but we were able to get the deal concluded once restrictions were eased.”
