Well-established bar under new ownership

A popular bar in Scotland with excellent potential has been sold to an experienced operator by Bruce & Co.

Glens Bar & Lounge is based in East Ayrshire and has successfully served its local community for over 20 years. The bar is managed by Phebe Wilson and was placed on the market to facilitate her retirement plans.

The bar is a built stone semi-detached property, with a well-presented bar and pool room, which can accommodate 80 people and includes a two-bedroom flat upstairs.

Bruce & Co were insturcted to facilitate the sale of Glens Bar & Lounge and, as expected, received significant interest, with six viewings and three well-structered offers being made for the exciting property.

It was eventually sold to an experienced operator looking to run the pub and continue to provide a great service that its loyal clients have become accustomed to over the years.

This is the first time the buyer has purchased a bar in Scotland and has previously acquired a pub in England. They said the location of the bar and its potential was too good to turn down.
