St Andrews Guest House sold in Seven Weeks

Bruce & Co are delighted to announce the successful sale of Arran House, sold to a corporate buyer through an efficient sale process that only took seven weeks to complete.

Arran House is located in the center of the historic town St Andrews and within a minutes’ walk from the world-famous Old Course golf course. The golf course is considered to be the oldest golf course in the world and is commonly known as ‘The Home of Golf’. The area is also based near the main local attractions and transport links.

The guest house trades throughout the year and enjoys much repeat custom. It currently holds a rating of 3 stars on the official VisitScotland website. The guest house features 9 letting bedrooms, 7 of which are en-suite and the other two rooms share a bathroom.

The family-run guest house has been in operation by the current proprietors for just over 15 years. The property has been placed on the market due to the vendors looking to retire.

The buyer operates within the local vicinity and owns a business on the same road. There are a number of opportunities to be explored for the new purchase, including the potential to develop the property to include some self-catering options.

The buyer said: “Really good experience, happy with the level of service. Would recommend Bruce & Co.”

Sales Negotiator confirmed: “Really pleased to have found a buyer for the seller, the transaction went through quickly and smoothly. I wish both the seller and new owner all the best.”
